Destiny Is Debatable

As a photographer well into her professional career, Robyn Rachel sensed something was changing in her body. After a routine eye exam, she was referred to a specialist and diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) and Usher’s Syndrome (Usher’s 2A). Robyn decided it was time to pivot from weddings to see the world while she could. Now, as the Silver Lining Explorer, Robyn lives fully, travels often and explores always! She and her family travel the globe in search of incredible experiences while capturing stunning images to document and share her story.

Robyn Rachel Lindemann

Photographer, Storyteller, Avid World Traveler

Robyn Rachel is a visually impaired photographer, a storyteller, and avid world traveler. For over a decade, she had one of the most successful and elite wedding photography studios in Chicago, boasting celebrity weddings, covers of magazines and shooting worldwide.

In 2013, she was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa which was later confirmed to be Usher2A. Sadly, at the end of 2019, her vision loss was significant enough for her to close her beloved wedding studio.

Traveling the world with her family became the upmost importance for her to see, experience and document everything, the way she wanted to, while she could. Her family which includes her husband T.J and five-year-old daughter Eloise packed their bags, and in the past two years have spent time in over 20 countries, and are just getting started.

She hopes to continue traveling, sharing her story and exhibiting her fine art photography that has been documented from her world travels.
